Scandia Valley Township is a small rural community located in the Northwest corner of Morrison County, Minnesota, roughly 20 miles northwest of Little Falls. The area was first settled in 1893, and Scandia Valley was officially organized as a township by the Morrison County Board of Commissioners in 1893.

Our residents enjoy the benefits of a rural lifestyle within the beautiful Lincoln Lakes Area. Larger area lakes include Lake Alexander, Lake Shamineau, and Fish Trap Lake. Area activities include fishing, hunting, camping, dining, antiques, resorts, crafts, golfing, cross country skiing, and snowmobiling with direct access to the Minnesota Trail System.

Due to the Primary Election he August regular monthly meeting of the town board will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at 7 P.M. in the town hall.

Filings open for candidates Tuesday, August 2, 2022 and close at 5:00 p.m. on the last day of filing, Tuesday, August 16, 2022. The voters will elect one (1) Supervisor “A” for a term of four (4) years, one (1) Supervisor “B” for a term of four (4) years, and one (1) Treasurer for a term of four (4) years. Filing fee is $2.00. Please file with the town clerk at 3049 320th Street, Cushing, MN. Contact the clerk at 218-575-2847 to file.

Scheduled Meetings

Town Board Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month at the Scandia Valley Town Hall at 7:00 p.m. Special meetings may be scheduled as needed and will be posted at the Town Hall and on this website. The annual meeting is the second Tuesday of March, which changes the date of the March regular meeting.
